Random acts of beauty

Imagine receiving something like the following in the mail: Wow—You inspire me! (written on a home-made card). There was more to the note, but that was the main thrust of it. This person, and one other in my life, do this with some regularity—send a hand-made card, with a beautiful sentiment, or poem, for some reason which just strikes their fancy in the moment. This kind of beauty is easily sustainable and, while it may take more of our natural resources than an email (although I’m never sure if that’s actually true), it is so much richer. I invite us all to take a few moments to Pay It Forward in some manner which tickles our fancy.

Dear Laurel,
I’m not sure how I even ended up on this web site but I have enjoyed reading the articles. I was actually looking for more information on HO’ OPONOPONA Workshops. I have spent a bit of time in the Asheville/BlackMountain area and what can I say it is so “embracing” I’m 57, single, emptyness, sold my home, purchased an R.V. traveled for a short period then ran out of money (imagine that??) so I came home to Toledo,Ohio to gain employment and now wondering what to do.I have felt so stuck and empty. So…….. I have been listening to (audio) The Secret (audio) Down the Rabit Hole and watched An Inconvient Truth again yesterday and Friday went to see the new movie U.S. verses John Lennon. I sit staring out the window watching large beautiful flakes of snow falling silently. Reminding myself of the importance of gratitude.
I have 4 levels of Healing Touch, Reiki I ,cosmetologist for 30 years, have worked in a health retreat for 8 years doing facials and Healing Touch. Recently I have seriously given thought to working with the veterans offering my knowledge of energy work to help them heal. My set back has been working with the government and their necessary wanting more credentials (as a nursing degree, massage therepy degree)
Now having said all of that I ponder moving to Asheville/Black Mountain .For some reason that area calls to me. How would one find a job and like minded people?
Actually your probably wondering why I choose you to vent? must have enjoyed your article. It was a heart felt reminder.Thank you. And one more thing……….I would love any information you might have to direct my searching.
Again thank you
Blessing and Peace to you
Jan
